I have always been drawn to writing and began journaling at a very young age; most of my intention in journaling was to preserve the stories of my life. What I found after my late brother, Dan, passed was that writing helped me express what I was feeling, and then I was able to make sense of what was going on inside of me. After my late husband, Erik, also passed away, writing letters to loved ones that have passed was especially therapeutic for me. I began feeling a nudge to share my story, and a blog felt like a way to do this in a way that didn't feel overwhelming. Because music has been such an integral part of my healing and growth, I include a song with each post. When it feels appropriate, at the end of some posts, I also share things I was inspired to do to help facilitate relief and continued growth for myself. If any of these things ping something inside of you that may help with your journey, I hope doing them in your unique way, you find what helps you where you are in every moment.
